Tapeworms in Dogs

The tapeworm in dogs exists in the small intestine and differs from several feet to an inch. The tapeworms head closes to the sides of the gut by suckers and hooks. However, all these must be given only under veterinary supervision or instruction. The most common dog tapeworm can be prevented by destroying lice and fleas from the surrounding. Dogs must be detained from eating dead animals. They should also be controlled from roaming about freely. Avoid giving your dog raw or uncooked meat. Granulosa, Echinococus Multiocularis and Echinococcus are considerable public health issues. Humans and dogs can acquire the disease from consuming unhygienic uncooked meat, in the case of dogs it could be acquired from feeding on the remains of any infected animal.
